Hi, I'm Sunny.
I build AI systems, I teach AI, and I advise companies on how to adopt it. Doing all three at once gives me a working view of what actually moves the needle versus what's noise.
I'm a four-time founder, currently Co-Founder and CTO at Lightswitch. I teach at Columbia Business School, I advise private equity firms and Fortune 500 companies on enterprise AI adoption, and I'm a CFA charterholder with twenty years at the intersection of finance, engineering, and now AI.
Most enterprise AI failures aren't technology failures. They're what happens when you try to change tech without changing operations and people too.
I've spent twenty years at the intersection of finance, engineering, and now AI.
- Finance. Six years on the credit derivatives trading floor at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, trading CDS and CDX through the 2008 financial crisis. CFA charterholder.
- Engineering. Four years as a senior engineer at Bloomberg, building on the Terminal itself with a focus on mortgage-backed securities. Later at Shopify, working on global shipping logistics at scale.
- Building. Four-time founder across retail tech, fintech, and consumer finance. Including Clasp, an ML-powered personal finance app that built behavioral spending profiles for users.
- Today. Co-Founder and CTO at Lightswitch, building agentic AI systems for mid-market operators. Adjunct Professor at Columbia Business School teaching Python and applied AI. Advisor to private equity firms and Fortune 500 companies on enterprise AI adoption.
- Writing. Author of Learning n8n: Building Personal AI Systems, an O'Reilly Early Release on building practical AI systems.
